WRCC Reboots Adult Welding Program

Windham Regional Career Center Adult CTE ran it’s first Welding Technology class in several years.  Todd Kalinski of Winchester Metal Works has been working with the WRCC for the past month to get the shop in working order.  The class takes a hands-on, trial by error approach as participants got right to work welding pieces of scrap metal.  The thirty-hour course will run again late Spring 2020 and from the reactions on day one a Welding Technology II may need to be added into the adult ed mix.  Many of the class members work in professions where welding is a necessary component, or are continually running into situations where the things they like to do and have, need to be put back together.  The class is open to beginners and the experienced alike.
