Introduction to Google Apps for Professionals
Windham Regional Career Center Adult CTE is pleased to announce Introduction to Google Apps for Professionals. This class is designed to cover introductory tech skills as they apply to the Google Apps Platform. Google Apps for Professionals is intended for individuals who already have some basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Participants will become more proficient utilizing the variety of apps that Google has to offer. Google apps enable you to do what you need more efficiently and progressively develop professional skill sets. We will explore Google Apps such as: GMail, Calendar, Drive, Forms, Contacts, and Groups in an in-depth manner. We will do a survey exploration into the following Google apps: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Draw, Sites, G+, Photos, Videos, and Youtube. We will include a brief overview of Extensions via Google Chrome. Learn how to make your GMAIL inbox work for you: use settings, filters, labels, groups, and more. Use Calendar to stay organized for meetings, send/respond to invites, and get things done. See how Google Drive can work for you by color-coding folders, and collaborating in real-time with colleagues for projects. Learn the difference between Google Forms, Contacts and Groups and see how they work together. Determine when you should use Docs, Sheets, Slides, Draw, to get your best work done. All these apps are already available to you in Google – they will help facilitate your work and tech acumen on the job! Impress your colleagues, impress your boss, impress yourself…see you in class!
